Here is a little story to test your polynomial skills. | |||
My name is Tarzan. |
Hello, I'm Jane |
We are the GRAPES? |
|
It is said that many years ago when Tarzan and Jane were new friends they had the following conversation. TARZAN: "Jane
do you know the difference between an elephant and a grape?" JANE: "I think so. A grape is a small piece of fruit, and an elephant is a large mammal with tusks." TARZAN: "NO. A grape is purple." TARZAN: "Okay Jane, what did Tarzan say when he saw the elephants coming over the hill?" JANE: "Oh, I don't know...he probably yelled, 'LOOK OUT!' " TARZAN: "NO.
He said, 'Look here come the elephants over the hill.' " TARZAN: "all right Jane. Let's try one more. What did JANE say when SHE saw the elephants coming over the hill?" JANE: "Oh, I guess she probably said, 'Look here come the elephants over the hill.' " TARZAN:
"NO. She said, 'Look here come the grapes
over the hill.' "
*To learn the reason Jane made this strange statement, do the following 10 polynomial problems and then find the letter corresponding to each problem's answer. Place this letter in the decode box above the number of the problem. |

by a missile. The missile is travelling 90 mph and the helicopter 50 mph.
The helicopter has a 2 hour lead. How long has the helicopter traveled
when the missile catches it? *If you have all the correct letters, go ahead and decode the joke. GO TO JOKE. |
