HOW ABOUT A STEP FARTHER, DIVIDE A POLYNOMIAL BY A MONOMIAL: When dividing a polynomial by a monomial we must always remember that the ENTIRE polynomial gets divided, not just the first term. Sometimes we even rewrite the
division problem so that it looks like a bunch of monomial division problems.
