Here is a list of materials that each person will need for the Architecture Project.
One large sheet of poster board 24in by 36in A piece of cardboard or thin plywood about 9in by 9in to be used as "land" for the building.
Several sheets of plain white printer paper for the preliminary sketches Five or Six sheets of good white drawing paper, at least 9in by 12in for the elevations
At least four sheets of large, 11in by 18in, white paper for the nets. Sharp Pencil (mechanical pencil works best) Ball Point Pen of a different color
A ruler calibrated in cm or in depending upon your chosen scale A compass with a sharp point
A protractor (the large clear plastic ones work best for this) Scissors
White glue

A piece of carbon paper to transfer the net designs

A folder of some sort to keep the sketches, elevations, and nets safe (even a folded piece of large paper will work here) Tape to secure the net design when they are transfered to the posterboard
Four sheets of notebook paper or compostiotion paper to show the math for the surface areas and volumes of each net. All sorts of decorative materials (see the list of bonus materials )

*NOTE TO TEACHERS: If you are doing this with a class of people, it's a good idea to create a materials bank. Most people will not have a large variety of decorating materials at home, but they will each problably have a few spare items.

If you begin the project with a bonus option where folks can contribute items to the materials bank for bonus points, in a few days you should have a nice bunch of stuff.
