Here is the net we made for the entrance. Notice all of the dimensions have been included for use in finding the surface area and volume. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
This is a prism of sorts. We say that because one of the base edges is curved. Notice that to achieve a curve we need tiny separate glue flaps along the curve edge. The length of the curve face rectangle was determined by finding the arc length of the curve. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
Notice how the small glue flaps separate and allow the posterboard to bend. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
Here we do a "dry fit". | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
Voila, the "prism" is finished.
