Here we see a sketch of a baseball field. Players start at "Home" and run to each of the red squares in order, counterclockwise, around the yellow field.

When a player hits a "home run", he or she gets to run around the field without stopping.

a.) How many home runs would have to be hit for the distance run to pass the 1 mile mark?
(remember 5,280 feet = 1 mile)

b.) In his Major League baseball career, Mark McGuire hit 583 home runs. How many miles did he run just by hitting home runs?
