ARCHITECTURE SLIDE 15

Here we see a home built over top of a waterfall. The architect was Frank Lloyd Wright. Notice the linear nature of the building.

This was built as a summer home. The design was meant to be non-intrusive to the surroundings. As such, much of the stone for the building was quarried nearby. The color scheme matches the surrounding rock. The trees and bushes are an integral part of the design and the rocks of the waterfall seem to merge with the building itself.

The waterfall can be heard all over the house, but you can only see it when you walk down to the lower level.

The entire building is accomplished with rectangular prisms done in stone, cement, and glass.
