On the other side of the room, Grizelda Spoon was having a comparable yet MUCH stronger reaction.

"Oh Dear God, I BEG of you. PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE, don't make me sit beside Zig Dorff," she sincerely prayed with every fiber of her heart and soul.

The possible implications of this move could seal her fate forever. She could be doomed to beastdom. Her escape door was so very close, and this Zig person could destroy everything. "Oh PLEASE GOD, PLEASE GOD, let me have heard wrong. Please let me sit beside Sid Felton or Mike Peace, or even Stewart Flannigan, ANYONE but Zig Dorff," she pleaded silently.

But there it was again. She heard Mr. Donelly, "Now, as I was saying, I want ZIG DORFF and GRIZELDA SPOON here at this group."

Thus began the seating arrangement for the final quarter of Geometry class. Completely unknown to Mr. Donelly, the lives of two teenagers had been altered forever.
