FACTOR COMPLETELY LEVEL 1:


When you are asked to "factor completely", it means to break the polynomial down into its simplest factors.

To do this we must examine all the types of factoring we have learned to this point.

First of all and most important,

DIVIDE OUT THE GREATEST COMMON FACTOR!

Then decide if you have a difference of two squares or a perfect square trinomial and factor accordingly.


This lesson is designed to help you review and strengthen those factoring skills.

Below are some problems to factor completely.

Factor then look for the answer you got in the "POSSIBLE ANSWERS" box.

Place the letter that corresponds to your answer in the numbered box at the bottom.
